- General Objective: Prepare a comprehensive public policy proposal for sustainable food systems for the Metropolitan District of Quito, which promotes healthy, safe, sustainable and culturally relevant nutrition and eating, through a territorial, intersectoral and intersectoral approach Participatory, in line with international commitments, national priorities and local needs. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: Analyze the current context of the food system in the Quito Metropolitan District, including regulatory frameworks, key actors, problems, capacities Institutional, gaps and opportunities, with emphasis on the determinants of malnutrition, environmental sustainability and equity. DESIGN THE TECHNICAL PROPOSAL OF PUBLIC POLICY OF SUSTAINABLE FOOD SYSTEMS, THAT INCORPORATE OBJECTIVES, PRINCIPLES, STRATEGIC LINES. Governance, responsible institutionality, monitoring indicators and key components such as food education, sustainable production, access to healthy food and strengthening of local markets.
